Foodsafe is required in the food service industry by Interior Health. Past Foodsafe certificates will be expiring in 2018: "As of July 29, 2013, all FOODSAFE Level 1 certificates
issued in British Columbia have a five-year expiry date. FOODSAFE Level 1
certificates issued prior to July 29, 2013, are valid until July 29, 2018".
Foodsafe protects public safety and should be taken by anyone involved in the food service industry including: chefs; prep cooks; servers; receivers; dishwashers; volunteers; those working in the health field; and anyone looking to increase their food safety knowledge for personal reasons. Public courses and private group courses are available.
Superhost is a fundamental customer service course ideal for those with limited work experience, newcomers to Canada, or those returning to the workforce after an extended period of time. The interactive course covers numerous topics such as: communication skills and etiquette; first impressions; problem solving and service recovery; customer loyalty; service quality metrics such as net promoter scores; and many more.
Superhost is most often taught to groups of staff or program participants.
